Weight Loss Tips: Beyond Magical Thinking
In the early 2000s, I was a ‘Magical Thinker’. What do I mean by that? I’ll give you one example about money. I would meditate 6 hours each week, focus and pray for money. Actually my prayer was the kind that doesn’t work; Begging Prayers.
I REALLY believed that if I focused and begged long enough on having lots of money that it would just show up one day on my door step or magically drop down from the sky. No kidding that is what I truly believed in that moment of life.
So sorry if I just stepped on a few toes. I totally KNOW what it’s like to have the Magical Thinking I just described. There’s just a better way by adding a few action steps. One step beyond is ADDING Inspired Actions. These actions steps align with your dreams. These same INSPIRED ACTION steps will accelerate your manifesting capacity for what you want. You will become more and more the Master Manifestor with the Law of Attraction.
My first conversations about Law of Attraction began in 2004. Michael J. Losier was my mentor via the internet. He’s written several books, but his first I was introduced to was “Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t“.
Before hanging out with Michael, I would have told you that I was a positive thinker. One of Michael’s first assignments was to notice when we were being ‘negative’ (if, when & how) for one week. I was sure that I was a positive thinker. I was also sure that I would not find anything.
Okay… I was SHOCKED when I noticed all the ways negativity showed up. Initially, I was filled with lots of disappointment and frustration (more negative). It was overwhelming (more negative) to notice that I wasn’t perfectly positive (more negative). Time passed and I landed with brand new POWERFUL BELIEFS about positive thinking.
Let’s fast forward to now.
Today, I use my imagination, my vision, all of my energetic tools, meditation, prayer, declarations AND I also set ACTION GOALS. It only takes a few specific action goals to make things happen.
This wonderful physical world has provided many ways to be in INSPIRED ACTION. More about inspired action to follow in posts. Right now I want to share 3 inspired actions for weight loss help.
Weight Loss Tips: Set Daily & Weekly Goals for Weight Loss To Assure Success
There are numerous scientific studies documenting how writing down your goals increases the probability of them happening. One of the most famous was the 1953 Harvard Study of Goals. Many studies have followed. The biggest authority on goal setting is someone who has personally experienced the results. That same person is a master at setting the right goals.
There are mixed interpretations of the following Babe Ruth story. Here’s my interpretation of what I concluded from my research.
Babe Ruth focused on where he was going to hit his home run. Prior to hitting a home run, Babe Ruth would point his bat toward center field. Some say he was declaring the goal of dropping the baseball right in that area. With 714 official home runs, he was doing something extra special to make that happen. I really believe that he visualized exactly where he wanted the ball to go.
Physically writing your weight loss goals down will definitely increase the possibility of your weight loss success.
Weight loss goals are more than a number on the scale. Be sure to write down your current measurements and your future goal. Write down you body composition (body fat content). Track how far you are able to walk or run. Notice if your are breathless. Choose an exercise goal.
The most important component of exercise goals is CONSISTENCY. Choose something you are most likely to begin and stick with whether you are at home or on a trip. Walking is a great place to begin for everyone. A walking program may be your entire exercise program. It’s a great one! You chose wisely.

It’s one thing to have the knowledge of what you know works for weight loss. The next step is to actually put that knowledge into action.
This is not the time for busy goals. Choose your goals wisely.
Weight Loss Tips: Track Your Foods For More Conscious Food Choices
How many times have you eaten something and don’t remember what you just ate? Not remembering or eating excessively are just 2 examples of eating without consciously noticing what you are doing.
Tracking the foods you are eating is a great tool for conscious eating. There are many different internet tracking tools today that work really well.
Don’t want to track on the internet? You can also write down your food intake also. I like using colored pens to make is fun.
Plan Ahead: Using your food tracking tool to plan what you are going to eat ahead of time. This is especially important when you eat out. You will be far less likely to overeat. You will also be far less to make unhealthy food choices.
Be sure to track your food choice and how much your ate. Most internet tracking sites will give you a calorie goals and break everything down into Fats, Carbs, Fiber, Protein and more.
If you have never tracked before, just KNOW this is a very powerful weight loss tool.
Weight Loss Tips: Repeat Ideal Body Mantras Throughout Your Day
Another weight loss tool is repeating a mantra throughout the day.
What is a mantra? Simply, it’s a statement that’s repeated many times during the day.
Ways to use a mantra:
- Going to sleep at night
- Sending healing energy
- Upgrading your vibration
- Staying in The Positive Vortex
- REMINDING YOU OF WHAT IS IMPORTANT
Use a simple mantra to remind you why you have chosen to support your highest and best health and well being ever.
You can use one word mantras: Love, Peace, Vitality, Happiness, Energy, Flexibility, Strength, Longevity
You can put 2+ words together: Love & Peace, Happiness & Vitality, Love & Longevity
Choose the words that capture the most important reason why you want to lose weight.
Write these words down and place them wherever you are throughout your day. Place them next to your bed, bathroom mirror, in your car, on your desk, in your wallet or anyplace else you might glance several times each day. Take a moment to repeat your Weight Loss Mantra for about 1 minute. It will keep reminding you of your ‘Why?’ you are making your new choices.
Increase the vibration of your mantra by writing at the same time as saying it. Mantras are also very powerful to align the energetics or the ‘attractiveness’ of your body to manifest your highest and best health and well-being.
